We talked to students about what they knew about the effect of coffee on their bodies, asking:
What do you think coffee does to your health?
“If there is lots of sugar and cream, it can be detrimental. However, black coffee may be beneficial for your health,” said Dekayla D., junior exercise and sports science major.
“Over a long period of time your body becomes obsessed with it and you will need it to run. That is why I do not drink it,” said Dekeisha D., junior child development major.
“Personally, when I drink coffee, it does not work and makes me fall asleep. For other students, it can be a useful stimulant,” said Adhvika Saravanan, freshman biology major.
“Literally nothing, I can drink a gallon of coffee and go to sleep normally,” said Valentina El., freshman biology major.
