Off the Record – 02.21.25

This week’s episode of Off The Record. This week had a very exhilarating and packed program. We started with a quick update with Melanie Bauer, who spoke about Nova Southeastern University being named an R1 top-tier research institution by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education. Then, Jack Steinman gave us an update about the school production of Hadestown. Continued by a remarkable update by Markensley Francois about Fraternity and Sorority Life at Nova Southeastern University. This was followed by a 5-minute news report with Bryce Johnson, the Editor-in-Chief for The Current, and Madison Kasper giving us an update on what is going on in the TV, which launched an exciting new segment, the evening news. Afterward, Janiyah Fluitt, Vice President of The Black Student Union, updated us on BSU. Followed by a joint segment with Bella Giaquinto with an update on sports and Arts of the Matter with Jocelyn Saccucci. As usual, we try to shed light on a student-led business here on campus to allow them to promote it. We had a prerecorded interview given by Gabriela Alvarado and Natalia Vega, where they interviewed the owners of Beyond Pops. Lastly, the pop culture segment, where we spoke about Kendrick Lamar’s Superbowl performance, Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary, and The Oscars.
