DanceWorks to begin this Friday

The NSU Dance Program in the department of communication, media, and the arts will present the show “DanceWorks” on Friday, Nov. 4, and Saturday, Nov. 5. It will include performances by the NSU Dance Ensemble and original choreography created by dance faculty and featured guest artists, including Artist in Residence Hattie Mae Williams, dance alumnus Alonzo Williams and NSU dance faculty member Elana Lanczi.

“There are seven pieces in the show and the style varies from choreographer to choreographer. We have modern, contemporary, lyrical and sometimes even ballet,” said Madison Cantor, sophomore dance major and Lanczi’s assistant for DanceWorks. “My favorite part of DanceWorks is finally performing
